In this article, we will explain how to adjust the fonts on the website.
The fonts used on the website are created in the theme.
- Go to Management and then Theme.
- A window will open where the theme is located; select the theme.
- To change the font, choose the Typography section.
Here, you can choose a font from Google Fonts, as these fonts are supported. As you scroll through the list, you can see how each font looks. When you change a font, you will immediately see how it appears on the website.
- Titles
- For the title font, you can choose a font for all titles, such as Headings.
- Text
- In the text font section, you can choose a font for all texts and the menu. Opt for an easily readable font here.
- Quote font
- In the quote font section, you can choose the font used for quotes on the website. You add these quotes using the Quote plugin. By giving them a different font than the titles or texts, they will stand out more.
- Size
- In the font size section, you specify how large the texts should be. It's common to choose a size between 16 and 18. The size of 16 is the minimum recommended for texts on the website.
There are a few factors to consider when choosing a font. It is advisable to limit the number of different fonts where possible to 1. If possible, use a so-called machine font for running text. A machine font is a font that is on every Windows machine, such as Verdana or Arial. These fonts have been used for years, are very recognizable, and have better performance; the fonts do not need to be downloaded via a server and are already on the machine (e.g., a laptop).
