In this article, we provide more details about the Social Schools News plugin. To post these news articles on the website, the Social Schools News plugin needs to be added. Once added, a window will open with various options that need to be filled in.

List view
News articles are shown with the title, publication date, and image.Compact list

Images are displayed across the width, with the title and the first sentence of the news article.Horizontal banners
Images are shown with the title and the initial part of the news article. This option is often displayed on the homepage to provide a beautiful overview of the news articles.
News overview
A comprehensive way of displaying news articles. It shows the image and the entire text of the news article.Banner overview
Multiple news articles with images and titles are displayed at a glance. Clicking on "Read more" opens the entire news article.
Once the Social Schools News plugin is added, you will be asked for a community ID. You can find and add this ID here.
Publishing News Articles
Not all news articles created in the School App are shown on the website; they must be published first. Follow the steps below to publish the items.
- First, add the news article (group message) in the school app.
- Click on the three dots and choose Publish.
- Set on which channels this message should be published. If it should only be shown on the website, check the box next to Website.
- The message is now published.
Removing news articles
If the news article should no longer be displayed on the website, follow these steps:
- Go to the school app and find the relevant group message.
- Click on the three dots and choose Publish.
- In the screen where you can set on which channels the message should be published.
- Uncheck the box next to Website. The publication of the message will be withdrawn.
